- Single-step evaluation with clearly published targets
- Well documented rules with worked examples

Overview
Topstep is a futures firm. If you trade currencies it is the wrong door; if you trade index or commodity futures it is one of the most established options available.
Pros
- Deep specialism in futures
- Long operating history
- One-step evaluation is simple to follow
- Excellent educational material
Cons
- Futures only, no spot forex
- Monthly subscription rather than a one-time fee
- Daily loss limits are strict
- Less useful if you trade currencies
Our review
The single-step evaluation is refreshingly simple: hit the target, respect the loss limits, get funded. No second phase to grind through.
The subscription model changes the arithmetic though. A challenge that takes four months costs four payments, so a slow, careful approach is more expensive here than at a firm charging once.
The documentation is the best in the sector, with worked examples rather than legal wording. That alone makes it a reasonable first stop for futures traders.
