Overview
Vantage's international site offers Standard STP, Raw ECN, Pro ECN, Cent and Swap Free accounts. The Raw ECN account opens from US$50 with spreads from 0.0 and a US$3.00 per side commission. The international business is regulated in the Cayman Islands and Vanuatu, separately from Vantage's FCA and ASIC entities.
Pros
- A $50 raw-spread account is unusual; most brokers ask $100 to $200 for that pricing
- The international site states clearly that it is not the FCA-regulated UK business, rather than blurring the two
- Cayman and Australian entities are named with their registration numbers
Cons
- The international entities are in the Cayman Islands and Vanuatu; the FCA and ASIC protections belong to other Vantage companies
- Standard STP and Pro ECN pricing was not on the page we read
- Leverage caps differ sharply by entity and were not stated on this page
Our review
Vantage puts its best foot forward with the Raw ECN account: a US$50 minimum, spreads from 0.0 pips, US$3.00 per standard lot per side and no deposit fees. That minimum is the lowest we have seen for a genuine raw-spread account, which makes it a realistic way for a small account to get institutional-style pricing.
The account family around it is broad. Standard STP is spread-only for beginners, Pro ECN is for volume traders, a Cent account denominates your balance in cents, and a Swap Free account removes overnight charges. Instruments reach past forex into shares, ETFs, bonds and gold CFDs that trade around the clock.
Vantage is unusually direct about its structure. The international site tells you on arrival that it is run by Vantage Global Limited and the Cayman entity, not the FCA-regulated UK firm, and that FCA protections do not apply. That candour is welcome, and it is also the point to weigh: the pricing is the offshore entity's, and so is the regulation.
